How To Get Around Gil Puyat Ave-The Heart of Metropolis Commute


Gil Puyat Avenue, formerly called Senator Buendia Avenue which took its name from the Filipino senator who served between 1951 and 1972, is the major passthrough traversing east-west of Makati and Pasay in western part of Metro Manila. The busy commute starting from the western end at Roxas Boulevard connects the Makati Central Business District to the other areas of the metropolis.

If you're taking the the Metro Manila Transit System, Gil Puyat coveniently offers three major stops:

Gil Puyat Station at Taft Avenue using LRT-1 Buendia Station at EDSA using MRT-3 Buendia Railway station at Osmena Highway (SLEX) using PNR.

Another way to go around the metropolis is by commuting through hybrid buses operated by Green Frog Transport Corp that routes between Gil Puyat and Kalayaan. There are also the traditional and airconditioned jeepneys available for transportation.

The major junction at the east end of Makati is called Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA). If you're taking the MRT Buendia Station in EDSA, you could find all the landmark buildings along the stretch of Gil Puyat by walking from the public transportation drop off points.
